Dress Code

BALLET

  • Leotard (any color or style)

  • Pink tights (full toe or pulled over the toes)

  • Pink leather or canvas ballet shoes

  • Skirts are fine but must be elastic or attached to leotard for 2nd grade an below. Tie skirts are fine for the older classes.  

  • Hair pulled back (dancers kinder and up must wear a bun)

  • Boys - White short-sleeved shirt, black pants or knee-length shorts and black ballet shoes


JAZZ

  • Any color leotard, tank top or shirt

  • Black color tights, pants or shorts. Knees must be covered, so if wearing shorts, please put black tights on underneath

  • No crop tops, no intentional midriff showing

  • Hair pulled back

  • Black or tan jazz shoes


HIP HOP

  • Same as jazz for clothing

  • Non-slip-on tennis shoes/sneakers


TUMBLING/ACRO

  • Same clothing as jazz & hip hop

  • Dancers will be barefoot majority of the class, however, please bring non-slip-on sneakers as well.


TAP

  • Black tap shoes for 2nd grade and below.

  • 3rd grade and above - any color tap shoes.

  • Same clothing as jazz, however, knees do not need to be covered.  Shorts are fine for this class without tights underneath.

  • No intentional midriff.

  • Hair pulled back.


BROADWAY JAZZ

  • Same clothing as Jazz

  • For high schoolers, please bring jazz shoes, sneakers & character heels depending on the combo. 

  • For middle school, sneakers and jazz shoes are sufficient.


MUSICAL THEATRE & ACTING CLASSES

  • Clothes you can move in!

  • No denim, skirts or dresses (5th grade and below can wear dresses/skirts with shorts underneath)

  • No crop tops or intentional midriff showing

  • Please wear sneakers or close toed shoes that are secured to the foot (no crocs)

  • Hair pulled back

Studio policies

Semester Dates
Fall Semester 2025 runs August 11-December 12
Spring Semester 2026 runs January 5-May 22

Late Fees
$10.00 late charge for tuition/other fees paid 15 days after due date.
$35.00 fee charged on returned check.

Withdrawals
You must notify the studio IN WRITING to info@broadwaydancelab.com to drop a class at least 1 week (7 days) prior to your bill date.  You will be responsible for any/all tuition/fees until written notification is received.  Phone calls are not accepted methods of withdrawal. 

Showcases/Recitals/Open Classes
Fall semester dance & tumbling classes will have an 'open class' where parents are allowed to come in and watch.  We also have the livestream in the lobby all year round if parents want to watch on a weekly basis via the tv.  Spring semester dance classes will have a full recital - more information to come on that!

 

Fall and Spring semester acting/musical theater & singing ensemble classes will have a showcase/open rehearsal performance for parents and friends to come watch at the end of each semester.  

 

Middle & high school students will have the opportunity to perform in one of the cabarets which happen once per semester. 

Late Policy
No late entry for students after 5-minutes. Please call the studio if you’re going to be late so we can be ready.

Class Viewing Policy
We have all classes live-streamed onto a tv in the lobby for parents to observe on a daily basis as they wish!

Winter break
Student pricing plans will be frozen during the winter break from classes December 12 - January 4

Refunds
No refunds on tuition, costumes or performance fees.

Make up Classes
Make up classes must be reserved and requested at the front desk. Make-up classes are acceptable as long as the student holds an active membership. They can do any class style within their age group for a make-up class - please coordinate with either Ms. Caley or Ms. Katrina to schedule.


Sickness 
Please use your best judgement when sending your sick or recently sick child to class. For COVID, please wait 5 days after testing positive before returning.
