Dress Code

BALLET

  • Leotard (any color or style)

  • Pink tights (full toe or pulled over the toes)

  • Pink leather or canvas ballet shoes

  • Skirts are fine for 2nd grade and below but must be elastic or attached to leotard. No tie skirts. No skirts 3rd grade & up

  • Hair pulled back (dancers 3rd grade and up must wear a bun)

  • Boys - White short-sleeved shirt, black pants or knee-length shorts and black ballet shoes


JAZZ

  • Any color leotard, tank top or shirt

  • Black color tights, pants or shorts. Knees must be covered, so if wearing shorts, please put black tights on underneath.

  • No crop tops, no midriff showing.

  • Hair in a ponytail

  • Black or tan jazz shoes


HIP HOP

  • Same as jazz for clothing

  • Non-slip-on tennis shoes/sneakers


TUMBLING/GYMNASTICS

  • Same clothing as jazz & hip hop.

  • Dancers will be barefoot majority of the class, however, please bring non-slip-on sneakers as well.


TAP

  • Black tap shoes for 2nd grade and below.

  • 3rd grade and above - any color tap shoes.

  • Same clothing as jazz.

  • No midriff. Hair in a ponytail or bun


BROADWAY JAZZ

  • Same clothing as Jazz

  • For shoes, please bring jazz shoes, sneakers & character heels depending on the combo.


MUSICAL THEATRE & ACTING CLASSES

  • Clothes you can move in!

  • No denim, skirts or dresses

  • No crop tops or midriff showing

  • Please wear sneakers

  • Hair pulled back away from face

Studio policies

Semester Dates
Fall Semester 2024 runs August 19-December 13
Spring Semester 2025 runs January 13-May 16

Late Fees
$10.00 late charge for tuition/other fees paid 15 days after due date.
$35.00 fee charged on returned check.

Withdrawals
You must notify the studio IN WRITING to info@broadwaydancelab.com to drop a class at least 1 week (7 days) prior to your bill date.  You will be responsible for any/all tuition/fees until written notification is received.  Phone calls are not accepted methods of withdrawal. 

Showcases/Recitals
Each class will have a showcase at the end or towards the end of the semester. Some of the classes may do additional performances throughout the semester for parents to come watch. More information to come.

Late Policy
No late entry for students after 5-minutes. Please call the studio if you’re going to be late so we can be ready.

Class Viewing Policy
Parents are not allowed to open the studio doors and watch the class, however, we are working on getting classes live-streamed onto a tv in the lobby for parents to observe on a daily basis as they wish!

Winter break
Student pricing plans will be frozen during the winter break from classes December 13-January 13.

Refunds
No refunds on tuition, costumes or performance fees.

Make up Classes
Make up classes must be reserved and requested at the front desk. Make-up classes are acceptable as long as the student holds an active membership. They can do any class style within their age group for a make-up class - please coordinate with studio management to schedule.



Sickness 
Please use your best judgement when sending your sick or recently sick child to class. For COVID, please wait 5 days after testing positive before returning.
