Student Spotlight: Celebrating Consistency, Hard Work, and Passion with Bella and Emma!

At Broadway Dance Lab, we're fortunate to have dedicated, passionate students who bring joy, energy, and focus to every class. Each month, we will recognize students who not only work hard but also inspire others with their unique perspectives and commitment to their craft. For November, we’re thrilled to celebrate two exceptional students (and sisters!): Bella and Emma!

Meet Bella

  • School: Kinder HSPVA

  • Grade: 10 (Sophomore)

  • Future Dream: Bella has big dreams of becoming a geneticist, eager to dive into the fascinating world of genetics and DNA.

Bella brings a special kind of consistency to the studio. Week after week, she shows up ready to work, fully engaged, and eager to improve in tap. Her dedication doesn’t go unnoticed—she’s attentive in every class and always pushes herself to reach new heights. What does Bella love most about dance? “Dance is something that everyone can do. Anyone can dance and have fun at the same time!” Her belief that dance is for everyone shines through in her positive attitude, and she reminds us all of the joy and inclusivity that dance brings.

Meet Emma

  • School: Westchester Academy of International Studies

  • Grade: 9 (Freshman)

  • Future Dream: With a passion for animals and the environment, Emma aspires to become a zoologist, working with wildlife around the world.

Emma is another student whose consistent dedication and work ethic are inspiring. She approaches each class with focus, bringing both determination and a willingness to learn. Emma’s attentive nature and hard work contribute to her steady progress In ballet. For Emma, dance is more than just a workout; it’s her way to unwind. “Dance is not only great exercise, but it’s one of the best ways to relax during the week!” Her perspective on dance as both energizing and restorative is a wonderful reminder of the balance dance can bring to our lives.

Both Bella and Emma were also both former students of Suzanne Semans (Ms. Susie), whose influence is evident in their professionalism and passion. Ms. Susie's commitment to nurturing young dancers with a blend of discipline and creativity has clearly left a lasting impact on them. We’re grateful to carry on that legacy by helping Bella and Emma grow, and we’re excited to see where their love of dance takes them next!
